Sean's Front Stairs Job
September 2026
Sean and his wife were in desperate need of new, safe front entrance stairs. They were very thorough with their decision-making process and ultimately went with us. They knew exactly what design they wanted for their stairs and we went into detailed discussions with them about that before starting the job. In the end they were extremely happy with their new stairs — what a beautiful front piece to a home!

Nester's Cedar Stair Job
August 2026
Nester started having major safety concerns after a tread completely blew out on his outdoor stairs as he stepped on it. Luckily he wasn't injured, but he didn't want to risk it anymore. So he asked AI for a local stair builder and that's how he found Tarak Construction — and I'm glad he did. After giving him multiple quotes for different materials, he ended up choosing to build the whole staircase out of western red cedar and even went with 2x12 rough-sawn cedar for the stringers. As a carpenter, getting to work with cedar is always a joy and the material just looks absolutely beautiful.
The stairs turned out great, Nester was very happy and so were we.

Paul's Deck & Stairs
July 2026
Paul had asked us to upgrade the access to and from his mother's house at the front door and at the two back doors. She was getting older and needed more than a couple of small steps in front of the exterior door.
For the back sliding door, we built them a nice big deck with long stairs and handrails on either side.
For the back door leaving the laundry room, we built a nice big landing with 3 steps and handrails on either side.
And for the front door, we built a good-sized landing with waterfall steps.
All the stairs and decks were built with pressure-treated lumber.

Linda's Deck Stairs
July 2026
Linda was looking for a minor stair replacement for her stairs leading to the back deck. We built these stairs with better hardware than the last and also with improved methods for stronger longer lasting stairs. These stairs are built entirely out of pressure treated lumber, the green coloured wood is copper azole treated wood and the brown wood is micro siena treated wood.

Louis's Front Entrance Stairs
July 2026
It was time for Louis to do some repairs on his front entrance stairs. We did some major work by replacing the stringers and treads with rough sawn douglas fir, tearing out and re-installing the handrails and replacing the siding on the side walls. We were able to fix the rotting issues that were happening by sealing up the end grains nicely.

Jeane's Back Porch Stair Replacement
June 2026
We replaced Jeane's old stairs that had signs of rotting. These are a great option when looking for simple, safe and cost effective stairs around your house. These stairs are built entirely out of copper azole treated wood. We were also able to re-use the old railings.
We also replaced the 2 posts supporting the deck and the soffit under it.

Ash's Basement Access Stairs
May 2026
Ash needed new basement access stairs because his old ones were heavily rotted and had poor building methods at the main structural supporting locations. He also had safety concerns because his parents used these basement stairs every day. So we gave him a new and improved access staircase. We were also able to re-use the previous handrails.

Mohamed's Concrete Stairs
May 2026
We poured these stairs on top of old brick stairs that had uneven risers and runs and were falling apart. These concrete stairs gave safer access from the bottom of the house for the tenants to use and had even rises and runs.

Ryan's Composite Deck and Stairs
March 2026
This job was unique because Ryan already had a big stock of composite decking at his house that he got at a discount, so coming in we only needed to purchase the treated wood for the framing. He also already had the glass railings. We don't mind at all working with situations like this and it's a great example of how we like to work together with the customer — satisfaction guaranteed.

Ryan's Basement Access Stairs
March 2026
Nice simple basement access stairs for the tenants.

Michelle's Side Entrance Stairs
February 2026
Michelle was looking for some good looking side entrance stairs with a landing on her new home build. After that the plan was to order custom metal handrails.

Jordan's Back Exit Stairs
October 2025
When we first got to this job there was no landing outside the door, just two small steps exiting the sliding door. We added a good size landing with nice long steps and handrails on either side.

Tony's Concrete Basement Access Stairs
September 2025
This was a new home build needing concrete stairs for access to the basement from the outside. You often see these stairs being wood, but concrete is great for long lasting, durable steps!
